We are urgently seeking a Field Worker to join the Parks and Sports team with a local government council crew based in Ipswich.
Duties include maintaining parks and sports fields, including:
- Mowing
- Brushcutting
- Blower operation
- Litter collection
- General labouring duties
We are seeking:
- Previous experience with landscaping or parks and gardens work.
- An appropriate level of physical fitness for the work being performed.
- Current C class drivers licence
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Strong reliability, work ethic and commitment to safety with proven ability to follow directions and work as part of a team (supported by references).
- Please note that Mandatory PPE requirements apply and you must be willing to be face-fit tested for a P2 disposable respirator prior to starting.
The following is advantageous (but not essential):
- Certificate in Horticulture
- Q Fever vaccination.
Due to the nature of the work, please note that any offer of employment will be subject to a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening, to ensure you are fit to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role, together with a criminal history check.

- $43.05 p/hour plus superannuation
- 9 Day working fortnight (6:15am to 3:15pm)
