A temporary full time role has become available within a government Department for an experienced Business Support Officer, located in Brisbane CBD. The role will be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with team members in prioritising, ordering and processing administrative tasks and requests for information and assistance
  • Performing project administration duties and activities, maintaining project management products and providing support for reporting and assurance functions
  • Receiving and screening calls and visitors and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Booking meetings, rooms and equipment, preparing agendas and minutes, including data entry, tracking and following up correspondence items
  • Organising workshops, conferences and other events including venue bookings, catering, preparation of agendas, set up of technical equipment and recording of minutes as required
  • Managing travel and accommodation (bookings, issuing itineraries and reconciling accounts) for staff as required
  • Assisting with finance and contractor engagement functions including raising GPEVS, POs PO amendments and other required documentation

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous administrative experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Previous experience arranging travel and accomodation
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and prioritise work according to overarching needs
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computing skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Sound keyboarding skills (minimum 40wpm at 98% accuracy)
