A permanent full-time role position has become available within a highly reputable industrial coatings business, located in Western Suburbs.  Family owned and operated, they have specialised in industrial blasting and protective coating services to civil, mining and construction industries for over 30 years and have offices in Brisbane and North Queensland.

The role will work closely with management to ensure the effective costing, financial management and delivery of individual projects and tender opportunities in the civil infrastructure, mining and construction industries.

Duties include:

  • Estimating, project planning, procurement and management of the end to end administration of projects
  • Supporting the Managing Director with HSE, tendering, quality assurance and cost control
  • Ensuring compliance in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements
  • Assisting with project governance and management activities, including reporting, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management for projects under management

To be considered, applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience with similar responsibilities (estimating, project planning, procurement) within the civil engineering / civil works environments
    • Tertiary graduate applicants with some experience (including internships) will be considered
  • A sound understanding of contract management, quality assurance, environmental management and workplace health and safety management related to infrastructure projects
  • High level organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to compile and develop professional, technical and quality documentation and management reports
  • Strong computer literacy (including MS Project and MS Excel)
  • A track record of demonstrating a team player approach and high level customer service focus
  • Applicants must also possess a ‘C’ driver’s license and be available to travel occasionally state wide.
