15225T | Part Time Workforce Co-ordinator

A leading aged care provider in the Ipswich region is urgently seeking an experienced Workforce Co-ordinator to join their well established and professional team in the Ipswich area for a 12 month contract.

The Workforce Co-ordinator will support the business by co-ordinating the Human Resources, Roster and Training functions of the organisation by:

  • Ensuring all HR process and procedures are ‘Best Practice’
  • The oversight and involvement in the employment of new staff, including advertising, interviewing and onboarding
  • The coordination of the ongoing training of staff including induction, orientation, mandatory training and other identified training requirements
  • Managing staff conflicts and performance issues, including handling workplace investigations, disciplinary and termination procedures
  • Annual appraisals, performance, and wage reviews
  • Preparing and maintaining job descriptions and employment contract templates
  • Co-ordinate and oversee work cover claims
  • Ensure all staff rosters are correct and published in accordance with Award conditions
  • Oversight of leave requests, payroll processing and pay enquiries
  • Liaise with Industrial Advisers as required and assess and advise on workforce needs, changes to Awards, employment standards and HR legislation
  • Maintenance of the employee registers and regulatory requirements including Police Checks, vaccinations and other mandatory requirements
  • Prepare reports as required for the Board and General Manager

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you should ideally demonstrate:

  • National Police check in accordance with current regulations
  • Covid 19 vaccinations in accordance with current regulations
  • Flu vaccinations in accordance with current regulations
  • Previous experience in Human Resources Essential (minimum of 3 years)
  • Previous experience in Rostering an advantage
  • Minimum of a Diploma in HR or equivalent
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
  • Knowledge of relevant industrial laws and ability to read Awards.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
