We are seeking an ICT Officer to provide technical support at a Catholic co-educational secondary school located at Plainland (30 minutes west of Ipswich).
The successful applicant will work closely with students, teachers and staff to support and troubleshoot technology-related issues. Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support and assistance to users (resolving hardware and software issues, upgrades and answering technical queries).
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Installing and maintaining educational delivery systems in accordance with school standards and policies.
- Setting up technology requirements (such as audio-visual equipment for classrooms and other events).
- Providing support on the selection, procurement and installation of new ICT hardware and software (including audio-visual).
- Co-ordinating warranty repair requirements with suppliers (laptops, devices and other equipment).
- Co-ordinating ICT asset management including the registration and disposal of ICT hardware and software.
- Assisting with training staff and developing procedures on ICT best practices, security protocols, and proper use of technology tools and resources.
- Maintaining and recommending improvements to the ICT network infrastructure and information databases.
To be considered, you should demonstrate a technical background in ICT systems and networks, together with:
- A qualification in Information and Communication Technology (or related field) preferred but not essential
- Industry certifications and/or experience administering and supporting end-user ICT systems, hardware and software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve ICT issues efficiently
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to convey technical concepts to non-technical users
- Highly self-motivated and well-organised approach to work
- Availability for rostering between 7:30am and 3:36pm (Monday to Friday)
- Eligibility to obtain Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card)
