We are urgently seeking Trade Assistants/Labourers for work with a highly reputable business located in Ipswich. The role will be a casual assignment responsible for general labouring, in a mechanical setting with experience assisting Boilermakers or Fitters and Turners preferred.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
- Forklift Licence preferred
- Previous experience working on trucks or trailers or a strong mechanical aptitude
- Have work experience with hydraulics and the ability for follow directions with precision
- Reasonable physical fitness and experience manual handling
- Organised with excellent communication skills
- Be dedicated to safe working practice and have a positive and team focused attitude.
- Two contactable work referees
- Availability to start asap
Utilise your skills and experience as a TA to:
- Assist trades staff with job service and repair and maintenance
- Fit hydraulic components to machinery framework
- Use power tools and hand tools to fit and assist with assembly of parts and equipment and have a familiarity with welding equipment, power tools and machinery
- Maintain workshop and equipment
- Fault find and provide/deliver effective solutions with guidance from trades staff
