We are seeking an experienced Safety and Quality Administrator to join an Australian owned company who specialises in designing and fabricating steel structures across Australia for over 20 years. This role would suit a passionate and enthusiastic Safety and Quality Administrator that understands that compliance is the foundation on which to build a healthy and engaged workforce.

Reporting to People & Culture Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing effective support to the Safety and Quality team.

This opportunity would ideally suit someone who already has some safety and quality experience and is keen on expanding their skillset.

Duties include;

  • Ensure safe work procedures, safe work method statements and risk assessments are up to date and accurate.
  • Assist with internal and external audits across the business to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist with the induction process for new employees, ensuring they understand WHS requirements.
  • Assist with Incident Investigations as required including reporting & corrective actions
  • Have an understanding of injury management including return to work plans and workers compensation
  • Actively train and assist with coaching managers and staff
  • Assist with conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Work alongside and assist the Safety & QA Coordinator with collating data for monthly Safety Reporting and maintaining quality registers
  • Participate in monthly toolbox meetings in office/factory

To be considered for the opportunity, we are seeking:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a HSEQ officer role or similar.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or currently working towards obtaining this qualification.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous organisational and leadership ability with the ability to build effective team relationships.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with tools and machinery used in production settings is desirable.
