Are you an experienced forklift operator looking to start a new role then read on we are looking for an operator for an immediate start to join a highly reputable aluminum extrusion business based in Loganlea.
About the role
- Loading, unloading and moving long lengths of aluminum (up to 15kg) ready for dispatch.
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Keeping work area clean and tidy
- Ensuring adherence to all safe work procedures.
The roster
This role is working as part of our temporary team working day and night casual shifts (rotate week on week):
- Day shifts 5am – 5pm
- *Night shifts 5pm – 5am
Rotational Roster — availability required Monday to Sunday. Enjoy 5 back-to-back days off once a month!
*A 15% loading applies to night shifts worked. Penalty rates paid for shifts over 10 hours.
Key skills
To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
- Previous forklift experience with current forklift licence essential
- Experience in loading and unloading trucks (both rear and side loading), gating, strapping, knowledge of weight distribution and size of loads and manual handling.
- Team player with good work ethic, including reliability and punctual attendance
- Willingness to follow instructions and commitment to working safely
- Appropriate level of physical fitness to undertake a range of manual handling / labouring tasks in this environment (training in safe work procedures will be provided)
- Appropriate work wear including steelcap boots, long pants yellow hi-vis long sleeved shirts
- Availability to commence asap at Loganlea

- Competitive casual hourly rates: $35.00 (day shifts) and $40.25 (night shifts) plus superannuation, plus overtime opportunities.
- This role will commence as labour hire, however, may lead to progression and a longer term opportunity in the future.
