About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales-focused professional who enjoys building customer relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering outstanding service.
You will manage predominantly inbound customer enquiries, provide product advice and solutions, prepare quotes and process orders, while also making proactive outbound client service and follow-up calls.
Working closely with the Managing Director, Account Managers and wider team, you will play an important role in driving sales growth and ensuring a smooth, professional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries via phone, email and counter service.
- Identify customer needs, recommend suitable products and convert enquiries into sales.
- Prepare and follow up quotes, sales orders, invoices and purchase orders.
- Conduct outbound customer follow-ups and promote relevant products and services.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities.
- Monitor industry and government websites for potential leads.
- Respond promptly to quotes, enquiries and customer requests.
- Maintain accurate CRM, customer and sales records.
- Support the Managing Director, Account Managers and branch team with sales activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who is professional, motivated and customer-focused, with a genuine interest in sales and building strong business relationships.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in internal sales, customer service or sales administration.
- Strong customer service, communication and telephone skills.
- Confident with IT, data entry and ERP/CRM systems; JIM2 is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Proactive, results-driven and confident taking ownership of customer enquiries.
- Professional, reliable and collaborative with a strong team focus.
- Experience in irrigation, water or industrial supplies is desirable but not essential (training is provided)
What’s on Offer

- 40-hour working week, with hours rostered between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm (2 hours of time off in lieu (TOIL) available each week)
- $70,000 – $75,000 + superannuation, depending on skills and experience
