We are seeking an experienced A04 Finance Officer (AR) to join a Queensland Government organisation based in Ipswich.

Working as part of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable activities, supporting debt recovery and collections, completing reconciliations and providing broader finance administration and Accounts Payable support.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors to ensure financial matters are resolved efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts receivable ledger, including overdue accounts, debt collection, reconciliations and debt write-offs.
  • Investigate unmatched payments and bank deposits and ensure timely receipting and reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly journals, reconciliations, customer statements and debtor correspondence.
  • Manage the finance inbox and assist with workflow and task allocation.
  • Provide Accounts Payable support, including purchase orders, invoice processing and vendor credits.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external support teams to resolve financial and system issues.
  • Assist with financial queries, reporting and process improvement activities.
  • Provide credit management and accounts receivable support across the organisation.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable and debt management.
  • Strong experience in debt recovery, collections and credit management.
  • Sound knowledge of financial reconciliations and general finance administration.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to investigate financial discrepancies and resolve issues independently.
  • TechnologyOne Finance experience is highly desirable.
