We are seeking an experienced and proactive A04 Business Support Officer to provide high-level administrative, executive and corporate support to a dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector outcomes while developing your career within government.
Key responsibilities:
- Participating in procurement and contract management processes
- Raising purchase orders, reconciling corporate credit cards and processing invoices
- Providing HR administrative support, including onboarding new staff
- Coordinating meetings, conferences and travel arrangements
- Managing shared inboxes and executive diaries
- Maintaining accurate records management systems (including TRIM)
- Registering and tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Supporting project administration and reporting
- Contributing positively to team culture and collaborative networks
What We’re Looking For
- Well-developed Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Understanding of records management, HR and finance systems
- Experience with procurement and financial processes
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a team
- A positive, customer-focused approach to service delivery
The casual hourly rate is $60.05 per hour (plus super) and the role will initially be a 3-month temporary assignment (with possible extension), located in the Brisbane CBD.
