We are urgently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Administrator to join a supportive team in Ipswich. Monday to Friday, this part-time, temporary role offers flexibility 4 days per week (8:00am to 4:30pm), with Monday’s a must.  Join an organisation committed to enhancing the lives of individuals and their families through a wide range of support services, including activity programs, respite care, and NDIS assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role encompasses primary accountability areas and tasks for accounts receivable and billing processing.
  • Supervise the timely and accurate recording of accounts payable (AP), ensuring adherence to payment terms.
  • Review monthly ageing reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Load invoices for payment in Xero, ensuring invoice documentation and GST accurate recording.
  • Preparing, Analysing, and Reviewing financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Track and monitor NDIS Plans and Fee Schedules/Quotes, providing updates to Service Managers.
  • Manage rejected payments in collaboration with the NDIS participant’s Plan Manager.
  • Back up for other Finance & Payroll Officer role for planned and unplanned leave.
  • Perform designated monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently at a fast pace.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Professional phone manner and confident communication skills.
  • Accounts experience with AP and AR will be 70% of the role.
  • Experience with Xero and Employment Hero (advantageous but not essential)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook (intermediate level).
