We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Combination (MC) Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves undertaking regular long-haul deliveries between Brisbane and Sydney, combined with warehouse and dispatch duties when not on the road. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a company MC truck (Mercedes) to complete scheduled long-haul freight deliveries between Brisbane and Sydney (up to 5 trips per fortnight).
- Safely load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and forklifts where required.
- Liaise with site staff to ensure effective communication regarding delivery schedules, freight requirements, and customer expectations.
- Complete delivery documentation and conduct routine vehicle inspections.
- Manage goods receivable and dispatch activities to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Assist with warehouse duties including packing, wrapping, stacking, and preparing products for dispatch.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), fatigue management, and quality assurance requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver Licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a long-haul truck driver.
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to the safe operation of vehicles, equipment, and workplace practices.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
