We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Operator/Machine Programmer to join the production team of a long-standing Australian manufacturer supplying high-quality, engineered products to the commercial and industrial sectors. This hands-on role is essential to the manufacturing process and involves reading blueprints, programming machines, and ensuring that all products meet precise design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery including drills, grinders, mills, stampers, and benders.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to produce accurate components.
- Plan and schedule machine operations to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Conduct inspections and measurements to verify product quality and compliance.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and implement routine maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety and environmental standards.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC operator/programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with turret punch and brake press programming/operation.
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAM systems and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and time management abilities.
- Relevant trade qualification, certificate, or diploma in engineering (or equivalent desirable).
