An exciting opportunity is available to join a local government team based in Ipswich as an Executive Support Officer.
This is a diverse and fast-paced role providing confidential executive and administrative support to senior leadership. You’ll coordinate meetings and stakeholder engagement, prepare high-quality correspondence and reports, manage competing priorities, and act as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential executive and administrative support to senior leaders.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Act as the primary liaison between executives, community members and external organisations.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, briefing papers, agendas and meeting minutes.
- Research and collate information to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate operational briefings and maintain reporting registers.
- Process expense reimbursements and manage office resources.
- Respond to customer and community enquiries with professionalism, empathy and a strong customer service focus.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of formal requests and documentation in accordance with organisational processes.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the executive support team.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience providing high-level executive or administrative support.
- Exceptional written communication and report preparation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using corporate information systems.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience in executive support, administration or a related discipline.
- Current Queensland “C” Class Driver Licence.
