Top Office Group has been running career skills programs for over 30 years (our Head Office is in Ipswich). Our practical, confidence building Ready for Work series of workshops is designed for high school students in Years 10 to 12 and are delivered by a Career Development Practitioner to help young people navigate the world of work with confidence.
Our workshop topics include:
- Resume Essentials (identifying skills and strengths to craft a standout first resume)
- Interview Techniques (creating a great first impression and connecting your transferable skills to master common interview questions with confidence)
- Smarter Job Searching (practical steps to find your first job, tailoring your application and ensuring social media is working for you)
- Starting a New Job (understanding the practical aspects of employment, along with employer expectations and workplace behaviours)
Whether looking for a school-friendly part-time job or an entry-level job upon graduation, we look to empower students to transition from the classroom to the workplace with confidence. They will also learn more about themselves – their strengths, values and the everyday experiences that will help them to highlight their transferable skills to impress employers. And when they land the job, they’ll know how to start strong and make a great first impression from day one.
Our one-hour workshops run weekly from our award-winning training academy (located at 9 Darling Street, Ipswich with on-site parking available). Numbers are limited and our next round of workshops will kick off on 07/08/2025.
